Our Story

Zoe, founder of Zoe's Fabric Stash

Hi there!

Welcome to Zoe’s Fabric Stash! Let me take this opportunity to say a massive thank you for being here. My name is Zoe and I am here to help you add to your own fabric stash, so you have what you need for your next sewing adventure. I have a growing collection of bright colourful prints along with other solids. I have a passion and love for playing with colour and prints, utilising each one’s features to enhance the beautiful pattern you are using.

Zoe’s Fabric Stash is an online fabric store launched in spring 2026. I post Australia-wide and offer free local collection by prior arrangement from Coromandel Valley, South Australia. Zoe’s Fabric Stash is an online store, with no walk-in shopping. You’ll find me in beautiful Coromandel Valley, a 25 minute drive south from the Adelaide CBD.

About Me

I have a love of sewing and creating quilts! I have grown up watching and learning from Mum who is also a longarm quilter. As a child I always loved going to help pick out fabrics for her next quilt. I find great joy in selecting fabrics and putting a colour palette together, then watching it change and evolve in different directions as each fabric is added. Full disclosure – colour selection and pulling fabrics together was not my Mum’s favourite element of quilting so if you are in that basket too, I would love to give you a hand with that! I’ve learnt over the years that like all of us I have my favourite colours I lean more towards, however, I also have the ability to pull fabrics for completely different looks and feels too.

I am a mum to beautiful twin boys who are in their toddler years. They keep life very busy, interesting and bring lots of fun to our home and of course Zoe’s Fabric Stash – they love seeing the fabric arrive and exploring the prints and colours already.

As I mentioned I grew up sewing. I started with teddy bears, dabbled with quilting as Mum got into it and then fully dived in once my twins turned 1. Sewing is my happy place that brings calm, peace, creativity and some time for me – even if it includes The Wiggles, Thomas the Tank Engine plus trucks and diggers whizzing around the studio floor. I wouldn’t have it any other way and sometimes I even get to play my own music.

Behind the Name

Every name has a story to go with it including Zoe’s Fabric Stash! It has always been a running joke of endearment that my Mum has a very healthy fabric stash. Having been there since the beginning of her quilting journey I have seen how small it was and how it has grown, changed and evolved over time. So when I took up quilting, Mum and my fellow quilters would say “just grab something from your stash”. Often quickly followed with a chuckle of “oh yeah, you don’t really have one yet”.

Well now I have two! My personal one for me and my projects and my professional one of new fabrics on the bolt that you get to shop from. Having Zoe’s Fabric Stash means I get to select and bring in new fabrics with you in mind, showcase them and then see them sent off to become part of your fabric stash. I love seeing the fabrics come to life in your projects so please be sure to share pictures as you go.

My own humble personal fabric stash started with left over fabric from my first quilts. I love that a fabric stash grows and changes as we evolve as sewers with each new project we embark on. I never would have thought my humble scraps would lead to something as big as starting my own business!

Plus, let’s be honest – all quilters need and end up with a fabric stash. I love seeing fabrics come together with a pattern, an idea or a special person in mind, and watching that creative journey unfold.

So have a browse, keep an eye out for new releases and I can’t wait to see what you pick to come and join your fabric stash.
